Hamlin Park Baseball Association (HPBA) is a not-for profit organization that provides competitive youth baseball and softball leagues for boys and girls in the city of Chicago, IL. The goal of the Hamlin Park Baseball Association is to teach players how
Our top priority is the safety of our players, families, coaches, and officials. We try to follow the evolving Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) COVID Guidelines. We are also required to follow the City of Chicago and Chicago Park District COVID-19 Guidelines.
With all of this in mind, we ask each of our HPBA families to follow a few general guidelines:
Monitor. Monitor your health. If you are not feeling well, sit out of any HPBA events and consider getting tested, if appropriate.
Notify. If you do test positive, let HPBA know so we can notify anyone who may have been exposed at a team event. We want to respectfully and responsibly notify others if they were at an HPBA event with a player who reasonably later tested positive for COVID. We will not share any identity.
Follow. Read, understand, and follow the IDHP quarantine guidelines. If you need to miss a practice or a game to quarantine, don't worry about it. There will be plenty more.
All of these things will undoubtedly change several times before/during our season. We each need to do our best. If you have ANY questions or concerns, please let us know.
