The Hamlin Park Baseball Association (HPBA) Program will include nearly 1,000 players (boys and girls ages 5 - 19) participating in 9 different divisions, 6 baseball divisions and 3 softball divisions. As in past years, there continues to be tremendous interest in any openings, and we anticipate that there will be more demand for openings than there are spots available. "Waiting Lists” will be developed for each division.

2023 Registration Programs

Below are the 2023 Hamlin Park Baseball Association registration programs, along with important dates, for both baseball and softball.

Coaches
REGISTRATION OPENS: Friday, October 14, 2022

Hamlin Park Baseball and Softball teams rely on parent volunteers. Registration for head coaches and assistant coaches for the upcoming baseball and softball seasons. All interested parties are encouraged to apply. All applicants MUST complete two steps: complete the HPBA Registration program AND complete the 3rd-party background check form.

Returning Players
REGISTRATION OPENS: Friday, November 18, 2022 (11:59pm)
REGISTRATION CLOSES: Sunday, December 4, 2022

Early online registration for Summer 2022 season returning players. Space is limited and will fill up quickly. Therefore, early registration is first-come, first-served.

Returning players are considered as any player who was on a HPBA house baseball, HPBA house softball or HPBA travel team roster at the end of the 2022 Summer season. Players who left the league or only played HPBA Fall Ball are not considered returning players. Furthermore, any family with an outstanding balance owed for 2022 must get this resolved before they will be eligible to register for the 2023 season.

Returning players that are invited to participate in early registration are not guaranteed a spot in the upcoming season. There are a limited number of openings in each division and the number of returning players eligible in each division may actually exceed the number of openings available in that division. Per Chicago Park District guidelines, HPBA must also provide the opportunity for new players to join the league via the lottery process. Once these spots are filled on a per division basis, all subsequent registrants will be placed on the wait list and required to enter the league via the New Player Lottery guidelines.

Siblings of Returning Players
REGISTRATION OPENS: Monday, November 28, 2022 (11:59pm)
REGISTRATION CLOSES: Sunday, December 4, 2022

Siblings of returning players may register for any remaining 2023 spots in our Rookie, Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget and Liberty Baseball Divisions, as well as the Softball Divisions.
