2020 Returning Player Registration
Registration for 2020
HPBA returning players are invited to participate in an early registration process for the 2019 HPBA House Baseball & Softball Program beginning Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 12:01AM.
Returning players are considered as any player who was on a 2019 HPBA house baseball, HPBA house softball or HPBA travel team roster at the end of the 2018 Summer season. Players who were on the wait list, left the league or only played HPBA Fall Ball are not considered returning players. Furthermore, any family with an outstanding balance owed for 2019 or outstanding volunteer obligation for 2019 must get this resolved before they will be eligible to register for the 2020 season.
Returning players that are invited to participate in early registration are not guaranteed a spot in the upcoming season. There are a limited number of openings in each division and the number of returning players eligible in each division may actually exceed the number of openings available in that division. Per Chicago Park District guidelines, HPBA must also provide the opportunity for new players to join the league via the lottery process. Therefore, early registration is first-come, first-served. Once these spots are filled on a per division basis, all subsequent registrants will be placed on the wait list and required to enter the league via the New Player Lottery guidelines.
For 2019, siblings of returning players will have a secondary registration period for all Baseball and Softball Divisions. This secondary registration period will begin on December 2, 2019 at 12:01AM. At that time, any remaining spots available in these divisions will be opened to siblings of returning players on a first come, first served basis.
